The Frank and Walters was founded in Cork at the beginning of the 90s. Their mission: to spread joy and optimism around the globe through music.

Named after some eccentric old men from down the street, their energetic shows, infectious tunes, and seeming irrepressible happiness gained a following, Before long major and independent labels were interested.

In 1991 the Franks were signed to Setanta Records They very quickly got down and dirty. First, they moved to London and released an EP full of well-crafted and memorable songs.

‘Fashion Crisis Hits New York’ was one of them. The band’s single “After All” featured in the season 1 finale of the hit tv series “The Young Offenders”. The band chose to earn fame by playing hundreds of gigs.

They were infamous for wearing their oversized purple-and-orange uniforms when provoked.
